This summer, 20 Center for Global Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law interns are spread across four states and ten countries, going not only with the Gospel, but also with legal training and a passion to see the Lord’s justice carried out on a fallen earth.
Ryan interned with the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, an organization dedicated to cultivating and defending the rule of law, human rights, freedom of conscience, and democracy for all people in Israel and its adjacent territories. During his time with JIJ, Ryan began work on a book project which will address the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel, with a goal of exposing the ideologies and messages that serve to undermine the rule of law and human rights in Israel and the Middle East.
Ryan describes his time with JIJ as "insightful and informative regarding the issues and conflicts which have shaped much of the world we know," and "provided a learning environment unlike any other to study and understand the nature of injustice in the world."
Whether fighting sex trafficking in India and Indonesia, advocating against partial-birth abortion in Europe, advancing the rule of law in Uganda, or securing religious freedom in Bulgaria and South Africa, our interns are making a difference.
